How do I submit my work?
You can use our easy-to-use online submission form or email your submission formatted in either a text or word file. If you do not have access to email, you may leave your submission in the literary magazine folder in the main office.
What else is required for my work to be published?
You must include with your submission: a signed written parental permission statement. This can be as simple as “I give Lynch School my permission to publish my child’s poem in the Lynch literary magazine”. Or use our online form.
Also, we want to know a little about the author! Please include a brief “bio” (10-20 words) on your child – grade, favorite activities, favorite subject in school, favorite pet. (i.e. Emily Bronte is a third grader who enjoys ballet, skiing, and walking her poodle Heathcliff).
Use our online form and fill in all the fields, email the statement and bio with your submission, or drop your submission, bio, and form in the literary magazine folder in the main office, please use the form attached.
Can an adult help me?
Yes, adults can proofread your work and help you put it on a computer. For younger children, it is fine if they want to “dictate” a story to an adult, as long as the idea and content is purely the child’s.
When is the deadline?
All submissions, permission statements and “bios” must be submitted by Friday, April 13.
The magazine, which is sponsored by the LPA through Go Direct, will be distributed in June,
one copy is Free per family.
If you want more than one copy per family, we will have pricing on additional copies in May.
Order forms for additional copies will be at the office at that time. Any questions, email Nadine or Margo.
